Market Appraisal

Service description:

The Market Appraisal is to assess how your writing will be received in the marketplace. Feedback is given from an industry expert, editor and commissioning publisher, and market suitability is defined.

Send: A one page synopsis accompanied by the first three chapters, one-sided double-spaced, to Brolga Publishing GPO Box 12544 A'Beckett St, Melbourne Vic 8006, along with a payment for $295. Include an author profile, relevant publicity profile, contact postal address, telephone number and email address.

You receive: A marketing report and copy and structural editing report on the one chapter submitted. This service is ideal for those who want feedback at an early stage.

Time: Allow 6-10 weeks to receive your report.

Manuscript Appraisal

Service description:

Manuscript Appraisal is useful when you have a completed first draft/ manuscript and want to have it assessed professionally by someone in the industry. The reader's report is useful feedback on the manuscript in its entirety and the detailed edit on the first chapters/pages allows you to apply the editing guidelines to the entire manuscript.

Send: A properly presented manuscript: typed, one-sided, double-spaced, to Brolga Publishing GPO Box 12544 A'Beckett Street, Melbourne Vic 8006, along with a cheque for $550. Include an author profile, relevant publicity profile, contact postal address, telephone number and email address.

You receive: A reader's report on the full manuscript - along with a detailed edit on the first three chapters or 50-80 pages. Added to this is a marketing report from a commissioning publisher.

Time: Allow 8-10 weeks for your manuscript to be returned to you along with our reports and the edited section.

Full Edit & Report

Service description:

This is for completed manuscripts* that have been reworked (i.e. are not first drafts) and are being submitted with the option of publishing on completion of the editing process.

Send: A properly presented manuscript: typed, one-sided, double-spaced, to Brolga Publishing GPO Box 12544 A'Beckett Street, Melbourne Vic 8006. Include an author profile, relevant publicity profile, contact postal address, telephone number and email address.

You receive: A full edit, this is both a structural and copy edit on the entire manuscript, plus an editor's report and access to the editor to discuss any queries. You will also receive a marketing report on your manuscript.

Time: Allow 10-12 weeks for your manuscript to be returned to you along with our reports and the edited section.
