An afternoon of rain wasn’t going to stop guests attending the launch of Mal Walden’s memoir and journey of the media of the time, The News Man – Sixty Years of Television, just as Mal himself was never halted no matter what the world threw across his desk – from reporting waist-deep in floods to some of the biggest stories of Australian News.
The launch itself had an excellent turn out with many people gathering in the cozy heart of Readings Hawthorne bookstore, located amidst the hustle and bustle of Glenferrie, as people came to celebrate an iconic Australian news presenter and grab a copy of one of the most anticipated books of the year.
If you would like to order a copy, you can find The News Man is available at all good bookstores or can be ordered via Brolga Publishing directly by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
